Tin Man Pumpkin

Dane decided to enter the HPES Character Pumpkin decorating contest at his school again this year. He went for a classic character; the Tin Man from Wizard of Oz. Worked out well for him since he still had his Tin Man hat that he wore in the school play last May.
He used the glue gun unassisted this year. No burns!!
He has freckles!
The Tin Man and Dane!
Today was the turn in day at the school library. Dane and his pal Abigail (with her character Bad Kitty) are the first to arrive!
 Hey! That kid looks familiar!

Bunco Halloween Food

I was the lucky ghoul who got to host October Bunco for my best witches. Of course, I went all out! The house was completely decorated with tons of Halloween items (love Halloween!) and the food was to die for! ::::evil laugh::::!

For dinner, I served Moldy Greens, Meat Mice, Mashed Brains, Roasted Knuckles, and Garlic Bones. Here are a few pics-
For dessert, I served a chocolate bundt cake and mini pumpkin sugar cookies. Here is a few pics-
Fresh from the oven without the icing.
Sliced to show the colors (that didn't really look like much until the next day). You can see the mini pumpkin cookies of to the side of the pic.
It was a fun bunco night. I didn't win big but I did win my $5 back by getting the Loser Prize. Whoop!

Doggie Dash

The Pflugerville Library held an Alice in Wonderland event today that included a tea party, flamingo croquette, a free copy of the book, and a doggie dash.

Iris participated in the "Tea Cup" division (under a year old) heat. Here are some pre-race pics of Iris in the cute hat and bandana the library gave the racers. Ha!

An artsy shot while we waited.
The race was hilarious! I was the the starter and Dane was the reciever. It was fast but Ed got one good shot as the race started.
Way to go, Iris and Dane! Second place!!!
So fun and cute!

20th Anniversary

Ed and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary on Oct. 9th, 2013. So on the actual night (a Wednesday) we got dressed up and headed to Eddy V's Prime Seafood & Steak Restaurant. Ooh, la, la! Fancy Schmancy! For two hours we reminisced and dined in luxury on crab cakes, scallops, shrimp and lobster! Melt in your mouth good!

The restaurant helped up celebrate with a sweet and rich complimentary dessert!
Ed gave me two gifts- a new 1969 yellow String Ray Corvette (my dream car) and a new ring (my dream ring)! While I love them both, I think the ring is my favorite of the two! Ha!
Sparkly and beautiful!
It was a wonderful night!
