I finally got around to a chore that has been on my "to do" list for awhile now. I condensed 3 sewing baskets worth of items to one. To my surprise, it was fun, in an artistic kind of way. You see, in Nana's sewing basket I found a bunch of old spools of thread. How do I know they are old? They are wooden and are priced to sell at 10 and 15 cents!
The name! The name! Another neat part of the spools was the name " Coats and Clark's." You know... Clark is a favorite name of mine.
The spools were so pretty sitting in the wooden basket. I couldn't help myself. I grabbed up my camera. Before I knew it, 30 minutes had gone by. Okay, 40 minutes. I got some neat photos out of it. Yay!
Oh, the chore. I was so distracted by the spools that I had to call in reinforcements on the actual sorting part. Thanks to Ed, we have 1 (and only 1) sewing basket! CHECK!
For Dane's class "End of the Year" party, I set up a fun "photo booth." With a backdrop and tons of fun dress up clothes, the kids had a ball with it. They could come back as many times as they wanted with different friends or by themselves. Mr. Lubman even got into the fun! In the end, I shot 105 photos!
At home, I added the sayings and then made copies of each picture for each kid in it. Thank goodness for 40% off photo coupons!
On June 1, 2013 my nephew, Phillip, married the sweetest girl, Katrina. The evening ceremony was in a beautiful venue in New Braunfels, Texas, called Boulder Springs.
Earlier that day, the Limbaugh's attended the morning graduation for Hendrickson High School to watch Olivia and Helen graduate. From there we had lunch at the graduation party for Olivia and then stopped by Helen's house to drop her gift and sneak some party cookies!
It wasn't long before we were in the car headed to New Braunfels with Mom. First stop was Wayne and Lally's house. We were able to change into our wedding clothes and take some "before wedding" family pictures with Cousin Sue and O'ma.
All dressed up and somewhere to go!
At the wedding venue, we all signed in as wedding guests by leaving thumb prints and names on the tree canvas. A really cool idea!
We also took some time to do some Limbaugh family pictures. They turned out nicely, I think.
I shot a few pictures of the wedding just because I could. :-)

It was a fun wedding and a lovely celebration of Phillip and Katrina. We wish them many years of happiness!
