Honor Choir

The Bulldog Honor Choir holiday performance was last Thursday. Wearing the shirts with Dane's winning art design, the select 4th and 5th graders gave a great performance!

 The Bulldog Honor Choir....
 ....takes the stage.....
 ...and sings their hearts out!
The last song was called, "Holiday Lights." What a fun and festive song! The colored flashlights were a neat affect! Red, green, yellow-- holiday lights, shining so bright!
Choir members feeling happy after a great performance!
Dane and his groupies went out for dinner after the concert. Happy day!
Yes, we all have the green shirts! Since we know & love the artist personally, of course!

Driving Test

Today was a big day for Mason! He got to take his driving test at DPS after having completed driving school and the required actual driving hours. We arrived at DPS at 7:30am hoping to beat the rush. We did.

Filing out paper work inside DPS.
 His turn!
Good luck! Don't wreck my van!!! :-0
All done.... the suspense is killing me.....
He passed with flying colors! Yay, Mason!

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving in New Braunfels with a large group of family and friends. We had yummy food, good conversation, and some funny game playing. I didn't think to get the camera out until we were leaving the Thanksgiving gathering.  Here are the two pics I got. :-0 gobble, gobble!
Thanks to Lally and Wayne for hosting!

UNT Visit

On Saturday morning, we loaded up and headed to Denton for an afternoon UNT vs UTEP football game. We arrived in time to see the Green Brigade march in!
 Look! My favorite trombone player!
 Game time!
These pics were taken before and as the football team runs in.
 Clark and Scrappy! LOVE!
A classic shot taken by Mason!
The trombone section has a ton of fun!
Half time! The Green Brigade marched and played songs to 80's tunes. A definite crowd favorite!
Clark is just off center of these pictures.

Mean Green Pride!
Poor Clark's lips were a fire from all the playing he had done game day and the day before.
Mason and I got our pic taken at a "fan booth" in the stadium. Fun times!
UNT won the game 41 to 7! Whoop! That put them in first place in their conference and made them bowl eligible! This year has been a complete turn around for the UNT football program. So exciting!

After the game, we drove to Sanger, Texas (just North of Denton) to have dinner at the famous Babe's Chicken House. We had seen it on the PBS show "Day Tripper" and decided we need to try it. So delicious! As was all the food!

The picture only shows the plate of chicken and the bowls of green beans, corn, mashed potatoes, gravy, and BBQ sauce. What it doesn't show is the salad and biscuits. So much food! And they will keep bringing it until you say STOP!
It was a great weekend! We enjoyed the activities but more so our time with Clark!!

Chicken Foot

On Sunday, we drove down to New Braunfels to visit O'ma, who is in rehab after a heart attack. We were so happy to find her looking great and alert. In fact, she was doing so well we all went to the dining room for a game of Chicken Foot.

O'ma is a domino shark so it will come as a surprise to hear that Dane beat us!! That danged old double blank gets the best of everyone now and again!
We had two domino sharks at the table!
All over but the crying! Ha!
 Can't take them anywhere!
Yes, Ed and I were there, too. Someone had to lose!
(I wonder what is in the fridge behind us! lol)
 Three generations of hands.
 Back in O'ma's room.......
I know it looks like Mason is sitting on O'ma's lap but I assure you he isn't. Ha!
We enjoyed our visit with O'ma!
