Sports Day

Today is Sports Dress-Up Day at Dane's school, in honor of the Book Fair going on this week. I took pictures at the school all morning but my favorite picture of all is this one of Dane.

Thanks to Goodwill and Academy, we were able to put together a nice baseball outfit for the day.
Go, team!

Eden Home Thanksgiving

On November 17th, Mason, Dane and I drove to New Braunfels to have Thanksgiving lunch with O'ma and Grandad at Eden Home. We took a professional photo with the photographer who was set up for the occasion. Don't we clean up nicely?
Horseplay before the meal, of course!
Wait! Is this a quiet moment of brotherly smiles? Snap!
The lunch was a full Thanksgiving traditional meal. The boys enjoyed the turkey very much! Dane had three servings of turkey! And Mason and O'ma enjoyed the "after pie" coffee.
A couple of good-bye hugs then we were all off for after turkey naps! ha! I wish!

Veteran's Day Concert

November 9th, 2012 was the 4th grade music program honoring Veteran's Day, at HPES.

Dane is holding up the y in the word, "Army," during the Armed Forces Medley.

Which was perfect since that was Ed's branch of choice.
Nice job, 4th grade!

State Marching Contest

On Tuesday, November 6, 2012, the Hendrickson Hawk Marching Band competed at the Alamodome, in the UIL 5A Texas State Marching Contest. Ed, Shannon and I drove down to San Antonio to watch Mason and Simon in the big contest. Grandlally and Grandad met us there. We had our signs and shirts!

This was HHSs first time competing in the State Competition as  5A. It was a big deal that they made it that far!

Here the band, led by Mr. Gundersen, takes the field! Go, Hawk Band!

 It's show time!
This year's marching show was called, "Dr. Atomic," hence the lab coats.
Mason is smack center in this picture!
 And again here!
  That's my Hawk-Boy!
The Hawks didn't place in the finals, sadly. However, I am pleased to to say that Mason and Simon had a great attitude about the whole thing. They were proud to have made it to State their first year as freshman and newly in the 5A division. The moms, on the other hand, had to come around to the boy's way of thinking! Ha!

Halloween Night

Halloween fell on a Wednesday night this year. Even so, we had a yard full of creatures all ready to trick-or-treat! Spooky!

The only Limbaugh boy in this picture is Dane. He is on the right side of middle, kneeling down with a silver half mask on and hair sprayed orange. He had a blast and scored lots of candy!

After trick-or-treating, Some of the kids started a "candy stock exchange" right in the middle of the living room. So funny, all that wheeling and dealing of candy!!
It was a fun filled Halloween night, full of scarey friends and sweet treats! Happy Halloween!
