Volunteer Appreciation Bingo

Last year, as PTO president, I came up with an idea to celebrate the volunteers that help the PTO by having a bingo night. So, we borrowed a bingo set from the local Catholic church, rounded up 43 donated prizes, and asked the staff to provide finger foods. It turned out to be a big hit with both parents and staff playing for prizes!

So this year, the bingo night was scheduled for May 12th. With a little help from a few board members, we ended up with 65 prizes!! In the mix, were gift certificates from restaurants, play tickets, service certificates (like car washes and hair cuts), candle baskets, scrap booking baskets, baseball tickets, and fine wine! See for yourself!
The staff came through with finger foods again while the drinks came from PTO. And this year I remembered to take some pictures! This picture is seconds before the first number of the night was called. Several people were still filling their plates and even more trickled in after I took this picture.
Tally for the night? I won two prizes- $20 to Cost Cutters and $20 to Thunderclouds! Ed won one prize- 5 free subs from Jimmy John's Subs.
