Letter Jacket Ceremony

Tonight was a big night for 28 band students at Hendrickson High. These students were recognized for having lettered in band. Of the 28, there were a few Sophomores, some Juniors, and some Seniors.
Band students earn points to get a letter jacket. For Clark and the other Sophomores, they have to attend concerts, games, and performances. The tougher part is that as freshman last year, they had make UIL District Band or higher and get a I at UIL Solo & Ensemble. Clark did what he needed to do so he earned his Letter Jacket at the end of his Freshman year! Sweet!

They had a band photographer taking pictures as each honored student was handed their jacket by Mr. Gunderson, the band director. The photographer also took a picture of the parents with the student after they helped the student put on their new jacket for the first time. Hopefully I will get those pictures at some point. For now, here is what I have.......

Clark, the proud owner of a HHS Letter Jacket!

Clark and fellow Sophomores that earned their jackets.

In order: David (saxophone), Clark (trombone), Abby (Clarinet), & Cristian (Trumpet)

We are proud and excited for Clark! He has been waiting for this night to get here so he could wear the jacket to their first football play off game.

We will be adding his UIL Area and State Marching Band patches as soon as we can! Yay!!

Just in----- from the band photographer-----
Clark is awarded his jacket from Director Mr. Gunderson.

Okay- so his family looks like something out of a scary cartoon! It was Friday night, what can we say! We are scary!
